This is very true. Unless USA and other nations involved in Afghan conflict have other plans to sort out this mess first, nothing concrete will be achieved. Pakistan Army and Notorious Pakistan spy agency ISI has been involved since longtime in creating havoc in Afghanistan be it a sponsoring suicide bombing in Afghanistan or providing safe heavens to all Taliban’s and Al Qaeda members in Pakistan tribal areas.
If we need a peace in Afghanistan and in South Asian region we must address the core issues and root issues. Unless we put more pressure on spine less Pakistan government to clean the mess of terrorism and terrorist infrastructure inside Pakistan first nothing fruitful will be achieved. We can hold thousand rounds of meeting but meaningful result will be only achieved once we clear the mess in Pakistan.

Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai, a former minister who is drawing up a peace strategy for Mr Karzai, said Pakistan had yet to offer any substantial help to reintegrate fighters from the movement it has been accused of harbouring and funding for 15 years.
Mr Stanekzai leads the internationally funded initiative agreed at last month’s London conference to offer Taliban foot soldiers and junior commanders security, jobs and political representation if they abandon the insurgency.
The former cabinet minister appointed as a special adviser to the Afghan president told The Daily Telegraph Pakistan was “crucial to the success of this programme” but progress in Islamabad was “not very substantial”.Pakistan has been repeatedly accused by Kabul, London and Washington of turning a blind eye to insurgent bases in their border region where Taliban fighters can hide from coalition forces. They have also given sanctuary to the Taliban’s ruling Quetta Shura, led by Mullah Mohammad Omar, who is believed to have fled Afghanistan following the 2001 US-led invasion.
Mr Stanekzai said: “Unless we address the problem of the sanctuaries, or disconnecting the leadership with the fighting and the violence, I think it is quite difficult to get to substantial results. “The key thing is that if the support and the supply bases and the command and control bases that are on the other side of the border, if that issue is addressed, reintegration inside is extremely easy.”
Elements within Pakistan’s powerful ISI military intelligence service have been widely accused of continuing to sponsor the Taliban as a bulwark against Indian influence in Afghanistan. Mr Stanekzai said: “Pakistan’s civilian government now has a very good relationship with the Afghan government, but there are differences between their military set up and their elected government, so that is a different story.” Read More
