Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games: Source Wikipedia
Commonwealth but it’s a Un-Common-Wealth in India. Rampant exploitation of workers and contracts labors continues.
“Where you go to the bathroom is where you eat and where you eat is also where you sleep” Condition of Workers, Working at 2010 Commonwealth Games Village
Our own people are shedding their own bloods and sweats to save our India’s pride “2010 Commonwealth Games” but our system and government are too busy in exploiting them! The engine (workers and contract laborers) behind the development of the 2010 Commonwealth village games site are getting exploited every day but no one cares and literally no one cares…

India has less than a year before the start of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. It is the biggest international sports event the country has hosted in two decades. But as pressure mounts to complete venues on time, there is growing criticism over the treatment of workers.
Many are saying they lack even basic facilities. They are crammed in plastic tents and entire families are forced to live there without sanitary facilities.
Laborers working here on 2010 Commonwealth village site routinely undergo dangerous work environment, live in a very unhygienic environment with no clean water and no electricity, no proper housing facilities or toilet facilities for them. Situation is so pathetic at the 2010 Commonwealth games site that even a reporter of the news channel once said by looking at the condition of the workers working at the 2010 Commonwealth games site that
“Where you go to the bathroom is where you eat and where you eat is also where you sleep”
What A shame! We should be using this sporting event to promote socio and economic development among us rather than exploiting our own people blood.
