Woman who witnessed a bank robbery at her New York City branch of HSBC provided a every minute update on the social networking site Twitter. Via Daily Mail
A web producer created a Twitter first – when she Tweeted her way through a bank robbery.
Annemarie Dooling was at her New York City branch of HSBC when she got caught up in the heist, which saw the thief make off with $486 (£296).
But that didn’t stop ‘TravelingAnna’ from keeping her 1,900 followers abreast of the action via a series of online updates. Read Full Story

‘They won’t let us leave the bank…Police just arrived. Maybe they’ll let me go now…They want to question us. I didn’t even notice this happening while I was standing there…
‘Honestly I didn’t notice anything. Bank was very professional, teller calm… Four of us being held. It’s one woman’s birthday and she is offering me a granola bar. She is too cute. One man has low blood sugar. Can we GO?!’
When all of the drama finally subsided, Dooling was able to Tweet: ‘I’m out!!!!!!!!!’
