With just over 2 months left before the Indian election 2009, Congress I and UPA alliances political strategy of campaigning on a big battlefield might just pay off by winning the coming election in a row as per Reuters Poll Survey. Congress I and its UPA allies have done some good work no doubt about it.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – An alliance led by the ruling left-of-centre Congress Party is most likely to win the next general election but it could need communist support to build a majority, a Reuters poll of 14 leading analysts has predicted.

The main battle of the April/May election will be between the Congress Party-led coalition, known as the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Hindu-nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party.

A group of smaller political parties, including the communists, have formally launched a “Third Front” in a bid to provide an alternative to the two main national coalitions.

On average, analysts said there was a 32 percent chance a Congress-led alliance would win, but would need communist party support to stay in power. They said there was a 27 percent possibility the Congress would win without leftist support.

I do agree Congress I and UPA government did slipped a bit on terrorism issues but on all other major fronts and issues we as Indian are facing from Financial Crisis to Nuclear Deal its has done more than enough. So surely deserve another chance but only if its promises to come up with more tough strategy against terrorist and terrorisms. No matter what!

BJP has already lost the plot, internal rifts within party and its communal agenda will never ever be good for India.

Third Front a newly created group by the bunch of opportunistic leaders, who always see the dream of becoming India’s PM by just getting 30-40 seats, or convert democratic country into communist country is disaster option for Indian’s.

Ekawaaz Thought: I really think that Congress I and BJP are the two pillars of Indian democracy and its strengths and to be honest I really feel sad to see that these pillars are getting weaker and weaker day by day. If we really need keep our democracy as stronger as it was then it’s high time for these parties two do some soul searching, try t find cause of losing so much of supports especially in rural India.

This election will be big battlefield for these two parties to show the strengths and improve their supports and election tally. If they fail to perform this time then it will be disaster for Indian democratic systems. Regional parties are good for state government not for central government. So for BJP and Congress I it’s high time to Perform or Perish!!
